OppFund’s Justice Fund Initiative is an approach that helps enhance/expand the capacity of African Americans, and other people of color, to effectively access capital. We proactively tackle barriers which often prevent successful home and/or business ownership.
The JFI process empowers our clients, helping them gain knowledge, grow wealth, and pass both forward to the next generation.
OppFund provides guided access to specific Technical Assistance and Wraparound Services which compliment the loans we offer. This is accomplished through key partnerships with Operation HOPE, Accounting Aid Society, TechTown, NID-HUD Counseling, and other notable community stakeholders.
How It Works
With new technology improvements, OppFund now assesses interested loan clients through it's newest intake portal to see if they are ready to apply and qualify for lending capital.
If a client needs assistance, and/or are unable to currently complete or submit required documents to apply now, OppFund warmly refers the client to an organization that could assist them with their needs.
Clients will then undergo and successfully complete specific services or training, receiving follow up contact and a reassessment of their ability to apply by an OppFund team member.
Once the client completely satisfies all requirements to apply for OppFund lending capital, they will proceed into the lending/application process with an OppFund lender.
The client will work with a dedicated team member to walk them through the lending process through closing, and beyond.
