The full-time position of Small Business Lender is responsible for outreach to the communities we serve, sharing the news of our programs and loan products. The perfect fit we hire will be primarily responsible for solicitation and first round of underwriting of new loan applications, and working with our dedicated team of professionals, closing approved loans.

The perfect fit we hire will LOVE working with small business owners, real estate developers, and nonprofit organizations, and will have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidates will have experience with commercial underwriting necessary to produce fiscally sound loans and be able to work with limited, remote supervision. In addition, the perfect candidate will be a responsible self-starter not afraid of Michigan travel. We reimburse for use of own transportation.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration required, with a concentration in finance, business or accounting, or a degree in urban and regional planning, public administration or other related field.

Administrative Assistant - Detroit, MI

This position is part-time, with the potential to be full-time as we continue to grow, and is based in our Detroit office. The administrative assistant is responsible for all administrative, clerical, and organizational activities which accompany running OppFund’s homeownership loan programs.

The perfect fit we hire will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, along with organizational and follow-up skills. Preferred candidates will have excellent computer skills, the ability to learn new computer applications quickly, and will be dedicated to accuracy.

High school graduate with college preferred.

Mortgage Loan Processor - Detroit, MI

The position is full-time, based in our Detroit office, and is responsible for providing quality customer service, and accurate and efficient processing of loan requests all the way through loan closing.  Assembling files and verifying all documentation in preparation for closing loans is a critical component of the job.

The perfect fit we hire will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, along with organizational and follow-up skills. Preferred candidates will have an aptitude for mathematics, excellent computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications quickly, will be dedicated to accuracy and have the ability to handle responsibility with limited supervision.

High school graduate with college desired. Licensed MLO’s will be given strong preference.
